Edinburg PD became the first Police Department in Texas to adopt the 911eye service. After a short trial it became clear that this service was going to change the way that the Department responded to certain 911 calls enabling dispatchers to confirm the location of the caller, assess how serious the incident is and decide what and how many resources to deploy.
A further key element of the service is the ability for the Department to save the video stream as evidence to support any future investigations.
