911eye does not require anyone to download and install an app. Instead it works via SMS text message or email.
The Public Safety Telecommunicator (PST) simply sends a text or an email to the smartphone of the caller. By clicking on the URL link contained within the text message or email, a secure ‘one-time-use’ live video stream is enabled.
The stream allows the PST to see the incident, assess how serious it is and decide what and how many resources to deploy.
Additionally the caller’s location, via GPS coordinates, are provided to the PST and shown on the integrated mapping which is also dynamically updated - if the caller moves, the PST can see their track.
With the very latest updates, once the live stream is enabled, this can be shared by the PST with a supervisor to provide oversight and support to the decision making. Based on operational requirements the stream can also be shared with First Responders to deliver real-time situational awareness to ensure their, and the public's, safety.
The 911eye team have worked closely in our partnership with Microsoft to ensure that the service is fully compliant with the requirements to be hosted in the Microsoft Azure Government cloud and therefore provide assurance to our clients of its security and privacy.
Microsoft Azure Government delivers a cloud platform built upon the foundational principles of:
Azure Government delivers a dedicated cloud enabling government agencies and their partners to transform mission-critical workloads to the cloud.
Azure Government services handle data that is subject to certain government regulations and requirements, such as FedRAMP, NIST 800.171 (DIB), ITAR, IRS 1075, DoD L4, and CJIS.
In order to provide you with the highest level of security and compliance, Azure Government uses physically isolated datacenters and networks (located in U.S. only).
