Virtual Reality (VR)
Virtual Reality is an artificial, computer generated version of a location or situation. It engages the user by stimulating their vision and hearing senses to the extent that they feel they are experiencing the simulated reality.
Augmented Reality (AR)
Augmented Reality technology overlays computer generated enhancements on top of existing reality, thus making it more interactive.
Augmented and Virtual Reality are not the same, but reflections of each other. Virtual reality offers a digital recreation of a real life setting, while augmented reality delivers virtual elements as an overlay to the real world.
The main difference is that VR brings students into an interactive digital world, while AR overlays digital elements in theirexisting environment.
