This Masters level programme reflects the NCTL learning outcomes framework and is closely aligned to changes in special educational needs and disabilities policy, provision and practice in England. This programme meets the statutory requirements for SENCOs in England and should be completed within three years of appointment.
Suitable for SENCOS or aspiring SENCOS with qualified teacher status (QTS) or qualified teachers working in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs).

This course will enable practitioners to explore why high quality interactions are so important and develop an increased awareness of the impact they can have.
Practitioners will increase their understanding of how to develop good quality interactions in their practice, digging deeper in to different ways they can build positive relationships and support learning and development through their interactions.
The course will provide an opportunity to reflect on the learning environments in your setting and consider how they are set up to enable communication, talk and encourage interaction.
This course is suitable for all early years practitioners, leaders, managers and childminders in PVI and School settings.

The termly SENCO updates aim to raise awareness of current policy and practice relating to SEN and Disability. They signpost SENCOs to key documents and information to ensure that they remain up to date with current legislation, statutory advice and guidance relating to SEN; provide SENCOs with resources and templates to enable them to support school improvement for pupils with SEN and/or disabilities and share good practice.
This course is suitable for SENCO's and Assistant SENCO's in primary, secondary and specialist settings.
