FAO: head teachers, SENCOs, senior leaders
All children and young people deserve the best chance in life. So, for those with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), it’s imperative that they’re given the right tools to succeed.
Children with SEND can sometimes struggle with literacy and maths, concentration, and socialisation. Conditions such as Dyslexia, ADHD, Dyspraxia, and speech and language difficulties can all present barriers to learning.
Government research shows that just under 1.5 million pupils in England were identified with special educational needs and disabilities in 2021, while 12.6% were in need of SEN support. Post-pandemic, mental health services are strained, and pupils are still battling to catch up. There is now a greater focus on inclusive education by Ofsted, and schools have a number of statutory duties to fulfil in terms of the SEN Code of Practice and the Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and health education guidance. All of this means it’s time to make sure your SEN and inclusion provision is the best it can be, and having the desired impact on your students.
At Entrust, we’re here to support you, your staff and your pupils overcome barriers to learning.
From those who need to ‘catch up’ to those who have complex profiles and Education Health and Care Plans, we are committed to creating better outcomes. We provide expert support, advice, and guidance across a wide range of areas within special educational needs and disabilities, behaviour, health and wellbeing, and pupils with English as an additional language (EAL).
Our flexible SEN and inclusion support package includes:
Pupil casework and assessment: identifying student needs and providing recommendations and strategies to improve outcomes (including access arrangements).
Strategic support for senior leaders and SENCos: whole school audits of SEND, behaviour and EAL provision, guidance with PSHE and the new RSE and Health Education curriculum.
Staff training.
Face to face or virtual clinics: our expert team can support your staff with any of their SEND queries.
Whole class sessions on cultural and religious diversity and practice.
