Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023
Our experts are on hand to help you meet the statutory guidance in KCSiE 2023.
We can provide expert training to help you meet the below statutory requirements included in KCSiE 2023:
All staff should receive regular safeguarding and child protection updates, including online safety (for example, via email, e-bulletins, staff meetings) as required, and at least annually, to continue to provide them with relevant skills and knowledge to safeguard children effectively.
Governing bodies and proprietors should ensure that all governors and trustees receive appropriate safeguarding and child protection (including online) training at induction. This training should equip them with the knowledge to provide strategic challenge to test and assure themselves that the safeguarding policies and procedures in place in schools and colleges are effective and support the delivery of a robust whole school approach to safeguarding. Their training should be regularly updated.
The designated safeguarding lead should take lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection (including online safety and understanding the filtering and monitoring systems and processes in place).
Education settings are directly responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate level of security protection procedures in place in order to safeguard their systems, staff and learners and review the effectiveness of these procedures periodically to keep up with evolving cyber-crime technologies.
We can also help with:
Safeguarding solutions such as our monitoring service or handy app that allows pupils to easily raise concerns.
Design and installation of security solutions such as ‘CCTV - security - door entry’.
DBS checks and social media checks to support your recruitment process.
Cyber-security solutions such as online back-up and data protection and endpoint and server protection.
