Technology continues to play a key role within a young person’s life and therefore can be the vehicle for child-on-child abuse concerns. Following the changes to the online safety section within Part 2 of last year’s 2021 KCSiE document, schools and colleges should now have effectively embedded online safety into their whole school/college approach through policies, procedures, and an inclusive and preventative curriculum.In KCSiE 2022, the DSL continues to have overall responsibility for online safety but should be supported by Governors.
