FAO head teacher, business manager, IT manager
The Department for Education (DfE) are looking to speak to school staff who have been directly affected by a school cyber incident, whether the attack originated internally or externally, in order to better understand the way schools handle incidents. The research is part of a current project considering what additional support would be beneficial to schools in this area and where the DfE might be able to offer meaningful intervention.
There is no requirement for staff to have cyber security knowledge and the DfE would actively welcome input from schools that do not have readily accessible IT support, as they are interested in how they can best reach out and support these settings. No setting will be identified, and any feedback will not be attributed to an individual unless additional permission has been sought and granted.
As well as one-to-one meetings, there is a chance for schools to join a more central roundtable, for those who don't feel comfortable/want to avoid being 'singled out' in individual sessions.
The DfE hope to work together to see your school, and your pupils, better protected.
If you are willing to support the project, please let us know by emailing information@entrust-ed.co.uk. Entrust understand the importance of being cyber-secure and are supporting the DfE to make the project a success.
