Asbestos Management (Duty to Manage)

The training event is an interactive event which includes group activities. It includes details of types and characteristics of asbestos, the risks to health from exposure to asbestos, the legal background and the legal duty to manage asbestos and other duties in the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations. The event also details the management arrangements needed to meet the "duty to manage" including the use of the asbesos manual, the premises management plan, managing intrusive work, communication of the risk of asbestos and the monitoring asbestos. Delegates will also be able to discuss their planned response to asbestos emergencies should they occur.

This training event allows delegates to participate in activities, ask questions and develop the risk assessment skills they need to assess the risk of substances in the workplace. The course includes the steps to a successful completion of a COSHH assessment which include:
